Introduction to Kayaking

Guided water sports activity

Description

This activity is for beginners. Please note that it will be held in French.


Learn how to handle a paddle alone or in a group and learn the basic techniques to be autonomous in a kayak.

Includes
  • Single kayak*;
  • Personal flotation device (PFD) and water safety kit;
  • 1 hour with a guide, 1 hour of autonomous practice for a total of 2 hours.

*No tandem kayaks for this activity.

‍General conditions
  • Ability to swim;
  • Signing the Risk Acknowledgement and Acceptance Form found in your “My Account” section when you create an account on our platform;
  • Meeting the minimum age requirements : Children need to be at least 12 years old to board a watercraft. 12 to 17 year-olds can board a watercraft alone, but must be accompanied by an adult, themselves in a watercraft;
  • Respecting the maximum weight capacity of the watercraft;
  • No animals are allowed on board the watercrafts.
Cancellation Policy
  • For a full refund, you must cancel your reservation at least 48 hours before the beginning of the activity;
  • You can still cancel your reservation with a $5 fee 48 hours before and up until the beginning of the activity;
  • Once the activity has started, you can no longer cancel, make changes or be refunded.
‍Reservation and Payment​

With Reservation : 

  • Reserve online between 14 and 0 days before the activity;
  • Online payment by credit card only.

Without Reservation : 

  • As per the availability of the equipment and personnel;
  • In person payment by card only;
  • Also possible outside this time slot during opening hours of the water sports site.
‍Good to Know
  • It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your reservation.
  • This activity is accessible to beginners, but we recommend having already kayaked before signing up.
  • For a safe and enjoyable experience, consider bringing a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, closed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
  • Please only bring items that can follow you on your watercraft. A waterproof bag may be useful. No lockers or changing rooms will be available on site.
